ChairmanMahmoud Elghannam
is a distinguished graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he earned both his undergraduate and master’s degrees with first-class honours and distinction.
With several years of professional experience in investment banking, consulting, and business and real estate valuations, he has worked across key financial hubs including London and the Gulf region.
In addition to his corporate background, Mahmoud is a seasoned entrepreneur who has successfully built and scaled e-commerce ventures to six-figure revenues. His expertise spans strategic planning, digital marketing, and operational execution across diverse industries.Driven by a strong commitment to social impact, Mahmoud has also led high-impact fundraising initiatives, collectively raising over £10 million in charitable donations for global causes.
CEODavid Meek
David Meek is the Chief Executive of the Forever Trust, leading the organisation’s strategic development, governance, and philanthropic impact. With a career spanning the charitable sector, public-service organisations, financial services, and investment management, David brings extensive experience in leadership, organisational transformation, and stewardship.
Having served as Chief Executive, Chair, and Board leader across a range of complex organisations, David has developed a strong reputation for guiding organisations through periods of growth and change. Prior to joining the Forever Trust, he led both a national conservation charity and a major local government-owned real-estate organisation, strengthening governance, accountability, risk management, and operational effectiveness.
An experienced adviser to boards and trustees, David has worked with senior stakeholders across government, regulators, investors, and civil society in the UK and internationally, including across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas. His background in financial services and asset management provides strong expertise in governance, financial oversight, strategic partnerships, and responsible innovation.
Alongside his executive career, David has served extensively as a trustee and chair within the not-for-profit sector, including his current trustee role as Chair of St George’s Hospital Charity in London. As Chief Executive of the Forever Trust, he is committed to building a resilient, values-led organisation that inspires confidence among donors, partners, beneficiaries, and regulators while delivering lasting charitable impact.

Interim ChairmanZayd Mohamed
Zayd is a chartered accountant and CFA charterholder with over 12 years of experience in financial services spanning a global bank and fintech start-ups.
He is currently Head of Finance at Vemi Money, a shariah-compliant digital start-up, supporting the company’s build and application for a UK banking licence. He has previously worked in various finance and treasury roles at Barclays bank and Allica bank. Zayd holds a degree in Economics and Statistics from University College London (UCL)

Mungo is an experienced humanitarian professional with over a decade of international programme leadership, fundraising, and community development across Africa, the Middle East, and beyond.
He has held senior roles with the United Nations, Norwegian Peoples Aid, DDG, and The HALO Trust, leading large teams, raising over $17 million for humanitarian causes, and delivering meaningful impact for vulnerable communities around the world.
As a trustee of The Forever Trust, Mungo brings extensive experience in charitable operations, resource mobilisation, and building partnerships across governments, NGOs, and international institutions.
